    E-Mag problem

    Hi There!
I own an E-Mag that I bought several years ago. I just recently started playing paintball after a long absents from it. I just bought a new battery for it. The problem I am having is when I place the battery on, The AGD 1.35 comes on, but as soon as i pull the trigger it cuts off and I get no response from the electronic part ot the gun. The battery is fully charged. What can the problem be. The gun has been sitting for at least 3 years, without the battery in place. The serial # of the gun is EM00761.

Is the gun aired up? The gun needs air in it for the on-off to return the sear. You could air it up and try it or just remove your valve, have the gun in electronic mode and push the sear down with your finger. Pull the trigger and the solenoid should click. The solenoid does not reset itself, it needs the gun aired up to do this. I was having a similar issue when I first got my emag but gassing it up showed there was no problem.

Other than that I don't know. If you have already tried the gun with air, I have no idea.

Mine did the same exact thing. It was an Ebay find and the previous owner couldn't fix it. It had a short somewhere, I think by the solenoid.

I took it completely apart, carefully put it back together, and now it works like a champ.

yeah when you pull the trigger it goes blank and if its not aired up it wont show or do anything, and if thats not the issue there are only a couple of wires running back to the board and the power wire is an easy one to follow start there and work your way back

          E-MAG Issue

Prior to tearing it apart you may also want to check the magnet on the trigger. If the magnet is too close or to far away the Hall sensor won't register a trigger pull. Even though the marker worked before that new battery my have more charge which may have changed the trigger point. some options for you. Outlaw5

Check the trigger magnet. If it is on backwards, it won't work. Also, check the ground connection where the board screws to the grip frame. The screw holes can have oxidization which reduces electrical contact. Clean the screw hole and/or file the top of the post to make better contact with the board.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Thanks for the reply, I did air up the marker, but it only fires once. When I pull the battery out and re-insert it, it seems to recycle and fires once again, and the LCD screen goes off, and when I press the top button I get nothing.

Thanks for the reply. When I do put the battery in place it does fire once, then the board goes blank, and when I try to push the top button, I sometime get a line going across the LCD screen. But I'll try checking the wires, and clean them. Thanks!!

Thanks! I'm gonna try cleaning my marker, and I'll check out the magnets.

Thanks! I think I'm gonna have to clean my marker and see what happens. Everyone seems to think there's a bad connection somewhere. Thanks for the reply!

Especially do this first. Looking back, I seem to recall that this was grimy on mine. Could be an easy 2 minute fix for you.

I had this same problem on my PTP EMicro2000. Turns out I had the magnets in the trigger too close to the HES. All I did was back the setscrew (the one on the trigger) out...problem solved.

THANKS for the help on E-Mag problem

Thanks for all the replies and feedback. The problem was the magnet on the trigger being too close to the HES. I just backed it off a liitle bit at a time, and now it works as good as new! Thanks for getting me back into the game!
