    Classic Mag, Leak Down Barrel??

    Hey guys,
I'm sure this is something simple like me lubing the wrong part. My classic mag was hella crazy dirty and some rust was beginning to form on the internals from me leaving it in the garage this winter...my bad. So I took it apart and lubed the on/off put some oil in the holes that say oil on the AIR Valve, and lubed the bolt shaft and the stem on the inside of the bolt. I have a funny feeling that I might have lubed part of the bolt that I shouldn't have? Now there is a leak down the barrel that was not there when the gun was hella dirty.
Thanks in advance for the help

All you would need to replace is the powertube oring. But if you have a lvl 10 bolt, you may need to replace the oring and maybe remove the shims/try a smaller carrier.

EDIT: make sure to really clean the hell out of your mag, and make sure the orings are not dry or falling apart. You can just air up your mag and swish it in water, works really well. After that, dry fire the gun a couple times.

no level 10 this is a classic mag and may be a pre level 7. I'll check the power tube o-ring. Thanks man.

Then again it could have just been me being a dumb @$$....I really should learn to follow manuals especially when they are laser engraved on the frickin valve. I had the on/off shaft in backwards....yup...I'm a sharp one....anyway thanks for the help.....

If it is a pre lvl 7, there probably is a powertube spring instead of a spacer. Springs sometimes lead to bolt stick and powertube leaks. If your mag has a powertube spacer, go to a smaller spacer if you still get leaks when you change out the oring.

Even the original level 7 mags had powertube springs. The spacers weren't available until a bit later.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
