    Viking on CO2?

Has anyone run an AKA Viking on CO2? Would I need to use a remote, or could I just screw into the ASA?

Either should work... but I have no idea what kind of havoc liquid CO2 can cause in those... Having never actually even held one, let alone taken one apart.

Thanks for that link. It's really helpful.

You're not being a jerk, either. I actually would use HPA myself, but this question is for a friend of mine. He found a cheap Viking in a local sale that he's interested in, but he only has CO2 tanks right now... and he has a LOT invested in CO2. (I'm talking about a dozen tanks and a big 20 lbs refilling tank.) The closest place to get air refilled for him is about 30 minutes, so he'd just rather use what he already has and not have to spend extra on an air tank.

I'm just looking for extra reasons to convince him to get the Viking. The other guns he's been looking at are... um... not as good, shall we say.

Not really that big of an investment for something much much better.

30 min isn't bad at all, for several years, the closest place to get a fill, and closest place to play to me was about 2 hours away. Only until recently has a field opened up about 30 miles from where I live, I consider it a godsend for being so close.

I've gone that far myself in droughts, but we play mostly local woodsball, and when the weather is right, we'll play every weekend in the spring and summer. It's just too much hastle to make that long trip every weekend before going out to play.

Coolhand has made comments in the past about using CO2 in his Vike's for year w/o issue.

I have personally used CO2 in quite a few different electros, and found that unless I was shooting fast I had no problems at all.
