    Annodizing a Benchmark

Does anyone know if you can annodize a Benchmark .45 frame? I'm not sure what they are made of, but it seemed like it wasn't aluminum (seems heavier), so I wasn't sure if it was a material that would lend itself to annodizing. Thanks for the input fellas!

Also, remember. Some frames have the rear SS bushing that the "star" shaped which is in the rear frame hole. It needs to be removed. It is hard to get out but with the right tools, takes about 5 min.
The safety can be tricky if it is still there. It has a tiny set screw that keeps the safety from sliding out. It is tiny and I mean tiny. Don't lose that!!

Yes, it is aluminum. I just got mine back from anodizing. I didn't have a small enough allen wrench so I had to use a small needlenose pliers to unscrew it. Mine came out very easy. Be careful not to loose the ball in there too.
