    Clasic automag

Hey all. I was finally able to pick up one of the greatest markers of all time. Got it for a good deal(was to me anyway). It came with the shorty barrel and a 14" barrel.
    This thing (.)(.)

    Now for the fun stuff...

it has the right side feed tube. I was looking to mod that with a 22.5* cut and then a re-tack weld. I then want to make the tube accept an ego clamping feedneck. the only issue i can see with doing this is that the balls may not go through the angle. If I cut the "ball viewing" notch all the way up I think it will open the angle so the balls should get through...... any thoughts?

I also wanted to change the single trigger to a double trigger but I don't want to cut the stock single frame trigger.... Ive seen the spydermag mod and thought about trying it. I have a spyder etrigger that is capped at 10bps. I've read that it will and won't work without the ULT setup. What is the opinion here? What other trigger frame options will I have(mech or electro)?

well, that is what I got going for now... I'll be looking at modding the feed tube tomorrow so hopefully I can throw some pics up if it works out....

there are several frames out there and tons more that can be reworked a touch to make work on a mag. if you want a double trigger get an inteli, or one of the new Tritons or a UMF something along those lines.

as for electro's there are hyperframes, and the boo-yah frames that can bolt on right out of the box.

then just about any frame you wanna stick on it with a lil modification you can make it work its really up to the amount of work you wanna put into it.

for the feedneck talk to Luke or check his site he can probably help ya out

        thanks for the info....

here are the pics of how mine turned out..... I didn't have any of the feedneck after the weld... my bad. LMK if you guys would like some... and sorry for the crappy cell phone shots.

I started with a 10rnd tube and found that i would not have to open the feed neck ball viewing are up at all. The ego feed neck was a little big... I need to adjust it a little more. To me the whole point of this is to get away from having to use tape to hold the hopper on...

Anyway, here is the start... Pieces are already cut....

The first cut was the 22.5* cut and then I trimmed the height down...

        Ready to be tig-ed!

Rear view with the new feedneck...

and a side shot with the velocity...

With a full pod I only skipped 2 shots. Not to bad.

Thanks. the next step is to have one of my buddys sand blast it to freshen the look up. It should take it back to near stock-fresh-out-of-the-box look....

a couple of wraps of black electrician tape around the feedneck and the ego clamper will grab ahold solid

as of right now the whole tape to fill up the gap thing is happening. I want to find something to place in there that is stronger, though. I think I might try to find some rubber or something like that. The tape is holding good but it can be pulled off. Also, when the tape gets warm it will get gooy. Once I figure it out I'll definately post....

I have used a liquid rubber dip on certain things with success.(http://www.thefind.com/sports/browse...-tough-rubber).
You can find it at a hardware store.
