Summer time is here and I need to tune up my mag

Its been about 2 years scene I last used my mag, very busy...

Now every thing is calmed down and I have the cash flow to play again...

Other then Lots of TLC with Oil is there anything I should do to my mag before I go fire it up?

Last time I used it the lvl 10 was leaking down the tube but I think I can fix that with changing the cam and shims.

Oil it up, add some gas, and see what happens. It might be perfectly fine.

If not, the most you'll have to do is swap out some o-rings.

Yeah, mags suck. Every 10 years or so you need to change 1 of 2 o-rings.
      That's like $0.08 a year maintenance.
10 years after the zombie apocalypse you can still use a mag, providing you can blow hard enough.

If it leaks with the trigger at rest, you need to replace your powertube/carrier o-ring.
If it leaks with the trigger pulled, you need to replace the on/off top o-ring.

Zombie apocalypse?? I figured it would by aliens.

My Mag sat for 3 years (I suffered a brief bout of palmeritis). I just oiled it up and it worked fine. By the way, I sold the Blazer and added three more Mags.

Got it apart right now and everything looks good so far, no air yet...

I did notes that the Bumper looks like its been torn up or eaten away all the way around... got some new ones otw from AGD. any idea what would have caused this? I am thinking its from cheap oil that I used maybe?

The bumpers take a beating and do wear. Also, given the age, it's not surprising that it got a little dried out and brittle. As for oil, just use a good air tool oil (I still have the bottle that came with my Tac One from AGD).

I bet the you have the soft clear bumper right? Those get torn up easier than the harder blue ones. I prefer the blue bumpers on all my mags.
