    E-Mag E-Mode Not Working

I've been having nothing but problems with e-mode, thankfully mech mode works fine.

The battery is fresh, charged, and the noid has just been replaced. The board is running XMod 1.8 beta. At first, the noid wasn't firing when the trigger was pulled. I adjusted the trigger magnet farther back to see if the Hall effect sensor wasn't getting tripped and this seemed to fix it for a few minutes. Then it started alternating between not firing and going into runaway automatic. I was worried I'd made the Hall too sensitive but then e-mode just stopped working. I've powered the board off and on and it didn't fix it. Now, after showing the XMod boot-up screen, the display goes blank when I pull the trigger ( meaning to me the Hall IS working, but doesn't trip the noid. ) Using the mode selection buttons doesn't do anything, just freezes the display on the current firing mode.

    Any ideas?

try removing the magnet completely or the whole trigger itself see if that free's it up so you can at least navigaet the board and see that it isnt the board having the issue

check the grounding screw, are the buttons actually clicking the board? they might not be sitting correctly on the board

check to make sure that you dont have ACE turned on unless you have an ACE board.

if you get the buttons working go to the trg/ace screen and pull the trigger. if the spot next to trg lights up then your sensor is reading the pull and it has to be something on the board or the noid.

Read the Xmod software manual before tinkering with it anymore.

I have read, and just re-read it again just in case, but I haven't changed any settings since I got it back from you.

I just took the magnet out of the trigger ( it's a Tunablade, BTW, ) and that unfroze the menu. The ACE is set to off. Going to the TRG/ACE setting, I was able to trigger it by waving the magnet past the Hall sensor manually. However, it won't register a pull when the magnet is in the trigger, now matter how far forward or backward I adjust it ( I was pulling it in mech mode to give it the longest travel distance possible.

Sounds like you got your magnet in backwards...

I did fire it a few hundred times...the magnet is not in backwards. It might be a problem with the hall sensor. The magnetic field of view my be off. Might have to rebend the hall effect switch a little to change that.

Any specific direction to bend, or should I just fiddle until it works?
