    X-valve on off pin

I am having a problem with my friend's tac one. It is not resetting the bolt. I looked at a few things and the only thing I can see wrong is the on/off pin seems to be jagged on one end. Its uneven. The sear shows a little wear on it where the pin hits. Would that cause the problem I have or should I just start screwing with carriers. I had it tuned by my local shop and it worked fine for a few days then this started happening.

Looks like your local shop's "tuning" job was a hack job.

I'm guessing they filed down the on/off pin to get a better response. While that is possible, it is a big "no-no" to do it without a mill and a micrometer...

The on/off pin should be square at the ends, and seat easily on the sear.

If the bolt sticks, you need a larger carrier. You want the largest one that doesn't leak.
If the bolt fails to reset after a jam, add a shim.

        I'd get a new on/off pin too.
