Get a voltage meter and check the output of both your charger and your battery. You won't know for certain until you do a proper test.

IIRC the output of the battery should be north of 16 volts and the charger 24 volts. *I am probably wrong on the charger output but the know-it-alls here will correct me if I am*

Pretty close ( not a NIA but a NAL )
Just checked mine 26 volts out of the house charger & 25 volts out of the car charger
my batterys have allways seemed to charge up to the the mid 18 volt range , i've had batterys that seemed to charge fine , said they had 17+ volts in them , but when you install them they would power up the board & kick the solenoid 1 time & they were done , they would not take the load
E Mag owners ( most of us ) realize that our batterys are getting old & the next charge may be the last ,but at least there are some alternatives out there THANKS to the dedicated Mag following

To the OP , find another battery that you know is good & charged & try it
SURELY ther is another E Mag in the Houston area

Thanks for the suggestion folks. I havent had a chance to mess with my gun further since my father got sick.

The seller tells me that the gun was fully functional when it was shipped and is probably not booting up because the trigger magnet is not calibrated correctly. He suggests that i remove the trigger completely and try again. However, i thought that the magnet only affects when the solenoid gets triggered, not turning the gun on.

I just removed the trigger and i swear it looks like the display/electronics are messed up. After the trigger was removed and i pulled out the yellow pin, the display comes on and displays "AGD 3.2" momentary before fading...however, now there are just weird random LED lighting up right before the display blanks out.

        This is freaking frustrating me.

Im trying to see about borrowing a volt meter to see if the battery is DOA before i get a new custom one from KCs-RTule. Im praying that this is simply just a battery problem.

Yes, that would be a good idea to get the seller to reimburse me 1/2 of the cost for a new battery if its dead.

The custom battery inside I didnt knowed myself that it was a different than stock. Yes everything was in working condition when left out. Battery was good, solenoid was clicking and working when I pulled the back of the sear. And checked everything 2-3 time before it had left my hands and put in the package.

Edits: Will it fade away even if you touch nothing? Cause if the HES always read the magnet and you pull the trigger then it will shut down.

The board shoud only light up displaying AGD 3.2 then it goes off and you see a single led blinking at each x second. Then you shoud be able to fire when the H.E.S read the magnet. Then pressing the button in the back shoud get you into the board mode.

Lift the back of the sear to lift up the solenoid plunger and press on the trigger to make it fire, emode wasn't adjusted so be in mech mode and try with moving the magnet if the HES dont read it.

A low battery shoud be displayed on the led window.

            can I play?

            Thanks for the mention Zondo.

Ive been talking with T-bird via pm but id like to chime in here.

I understand the idea that this could be a trigger adjustment problem but it sure sounds like power to me.

As I said in my PM Im happy to take a look at the emag if you would like?

            T-bird, you have a pm.
            BenoitOWN, you have a pm.

I had some experience with this kind of problem not too long ago. I discovered that if the trigger magnet is out of adjustment, the board will still power up, but after a few seconds, it will shut down. When I completely removed the trigger, the board powered up, and stayed powered. I. too, thought for a while that I had a bad battery, fried board, or a bad ground. Turns out the trigger magnet was out of adjustment. You said that with the trigger completely removed, the gun still didn't power up correctly. That would lead me to believe that your problem is the battery. Another reason I say that is, just like previously mentioned, it takes much longer than 10 minutes for a battery to charge up. But, just to be completely sure, you should get a voltmeter and test the battery, both before and after the battery is installed onto the gun.

This is in-fact the same set of emag lowers that I sold BenoitOWN last year.

BenoitOWN encountered some trouble with them and replaced the board with this AGD 3.2 board. However, this POS battery is apparently the battery I sent with this set of lowers. This is obviously unacceptable.

I want to apologize for the stress and frustration this has caused the both of you.

From my transactions with BenoitOWN I can safely say he is a stand up guy! and I hope this post smooths away any blemish this thread placed on his credibility.

This issue stems from a battery pack that should have never left my bench. It was never intended to end up in anyone else's hands but mine. I will happily replace the battery and any other parts damaged by this mistake.

T-bird. Please pm me so that we can work out the details.

                  Thanks for everything KC.

I was by no mean trying to tarnish BenoitOWN's reputation at all. I just simply wanted to get to the bottom of things. You are totally right. From the pm conversations that BenoitOWN and i had back and forth, he seems like a straight up person.

I should be getting my hands on a volt meter tomorrow night, so ill post back with the results then.

                  Thanks again for everything folks!!!!
