    feed neck on a ULE

I just bought a new ULE mag(center feed) and when I got it I noticed that my Halo hopper will not fit in the feed neck. Is there any way to swap out the feed necks?

yes. it is angel threaded. it is hard to get off. you need a good grip and muscles.

Seconded that the feednecks on the ULEs are VERY tight. They're Loctited and take some serious elbow grease to loosen. I wrapped masking tape around the feedneck, and then a couple rubber jar-openers. Used a big set of pliers and finally got it loose. Just hang on to it, or it'll go flying when it finally breaks loose like happened to me!

Note that you'll scratch up the oem feedneck doing it my way, but I wasn't concerned about that. If you've got a strap wrench, that's the proper way to loosen it.

FYI, I replaced mine with a Redz Cam-Lock and I'm very happy with it. The correct model is "CAM-103".

if you use a fast evaporating spray( carb choke cleaner will work i believe) it will help loosen the red loctite on the feedneck and make it easier to unscrew. you want to make sure it is a fast evaporating spray so that it evaporates and doesnt stay on the body.
