LP with HPA Expansion chamber needed?

Like title says, I have a LP spider (no more then 400PSI or it will snap a pin inside, Or so I was told years ago) I had Expansion chambers on it for my CO2 tank but If i use my 68/4500 will I still Need them?

Or will it even matter, they make the gun look nice but add a bit of meat too it.

You won't need the expansion chamber, they are designed to keep liquid CO2 out of the gun. That's strange though that it is not supposed to have more than 400 psi through it when CO2 tanks output around 700-800 psi. The expansion chamber doesn't reduce pressure. Now, you have to make sure it is an expansion chamber and not a High Pressure Regulator (HPR). The HPR will usually have a gauge on it and is adjustable. I don't think I've ever heard of a LP Spyder, though I don't know too much about the different types. I would put a pressure gauge somewhere along the line between the CO2 tank and the gun (on the asa or something) and see what the pressure from the CO2 tank is. If it is over 400 psi (which I assume it will be), and you have been using it without any problems, then you shouldn't have any issues running your high pressure tank.

Running the expansion chamber with a compressed air tank shouldn't cause any problems if you want to use it as a foregrip. Though you can always just get a gas-thru grip too.

Whoever told you the Spyder was low pressure was BSing you.

Maybe it has a pressure of 400 in the volumizer, but it will not hurt it to run more.

      X-chmabers do absolutely nothing...

CO2 runs at about 700-800 psi but is known to spike into the 1000s when it is very hot, running HPA would definitely be safer to use as it owuld be a steady 800-850 psi output, depending on the reg of course.

Also, if it really was a LP gun it would have come with at least a HP regulator and most likely an LP one.

I had a Piranha (Spyder "clone") a while back and that thing was not finiky about pressure in the least.

Let me clarify. Its a bolt/valve-or pin set that is designed for LP. Ill get pics/links to the items... I had an adjustable ASA that I set the input pressure from the CO2 tank to be around 360-380psi and the gun shot great! (3 years ago)

Chrome Chamber under the Barrel is the expansion chamber that I want to know if I should remove it for HPA... Right now its on so tight I cant get it off so it might just stay as is lol

"It can be used on Co2, Nitrogen or compressed air (must use regulator.) Low pressure, 250-300 psi input (average of 280 psi at 300 FPS.)"

            Thats generally called a volumizer
it allows more air to be ready at the valve, this is a requirement in most low pressure set ups, especially blowbacks

Id leave it on there, otherwise you may have to up the pressure to compensate for the lack of volume
