Broken level 10 power tube tip

I got level ten bolt a couple weeks ago and tuned it home and dry fired it about 500 time. All was good. Then I went to field Saturday and aired it up and had problems. Somehow before I ever shot a single ball I broke the power tube tip. It cracked in half at the oring. I'm obviously going to buy a new tip but I am wondering is this common? Did I do something wrong that could cause it to happen again?
I don't think I under or over tightened it. I just got it nice and snug.

It happens sometimes. Either call AGD and see if they will replace it or I have them here if you need one.

Just remember the tip is brass and a lot softer than a stainless powertube. The wrench flats are really for getting it off, not so much for putting it on. Put it on with the same torque that you use on a level 7 with a coin.

Sometimes people don't realize the big difference a wrench can make, and then again the brass could just be weak from the threading process.
