DW CF Barrel insert stuck?

My SS freak insert is stuck in side... on my freak kit I just pushed it out when I took the front off. Any suggestions on getting them out? and should I lube it when I put them in so they don't stick?

I've never had this issue, but I would imagine that some schmegg is stuck in there so... dip it in luke warm water and try again.

got it out with my finger stuck in it like a finger trap. some paint was on it but not a lot. it also seems like the insert is not flush with the end of the barrel so maybe if I thread it in too tight to the body it jammed it in some

also check to make sure the o-ring didn't get dislodged

I mysteriously lost mine and I wouldn't doubt it was from pulling out an insert

I take a big T handle allen wrench, and use the rubber coated T end to pull the inserts out when they get stuck.
