Problem with Automag Valve releasing pressure too early

For some reason when I pull my trigger down, it releases air before I pull it down all the way.. so by the time the trigger is fully pulled, there's not enough pressure left in the valve to shoot the ball very far.. so the FPS fluxuates a lot, and the valve makes this stutter sound when I shoot. It all started when I tried to put a parts kit into my gun.. it was working before.. now I can't fix it for the life of me. I borrowed my friend's valve to test things out.. and so I know it's the valve becuase his works fine in my gun, and I know it's the forward part of the valve because I screwed the back part of mine onto his and it worked fine, and the front part of mine onto his rear valve halp, and the problem was still there. I also tried using his ON/OFF button parts and about 5 regulator seats and 2 differnt regulator body O rings.. nothing works.. can anyone PLEASE HELP ME?

    Thanks in Advance,
    Nate

Sounds to me like your trigger rod is out too long. What kind of frame are you using and when you gas it up, does the trigger rod press against the back of the trigger? There should be a gap. You could also have a worn sear or too short of an on/off pin. On/off pins should be .750" and the sear should look like this if it's in good condition.

In addition to what blackVCG said...

you need a smaller powertube spacer... If you bought your mag new a .220 should be in there get a .215 spacer and replace the .220 with it. If you have another size just repace it with a smaller spacer until the leaking stops

First off, THANKS everyone.. okay, Predater mentioned something about the power tube being the in the wrong order.. I know it was right, but just incase I checked it, and put the OLD Oring back in (from before when I put in the parts kit) and somehow that fixed the problem.. does anybody know why? Also, it still SOMETIMES leaks gas with a partial trigger pull.. but I'm going to take Butterfingers advice and try a smaller power tube spacer. Oh, and I alreayd tried changing in another stock trigger frame.. and it didn't help the problem, so I can pretty much take that out of the equation.. and yes, the on/off pin was in correctly. thanks again guys! You saved me from losing hours of sleep (eventhough I still dont' know how an old o ring can fix the problem).

The o-ring could have been compressed more than a new one...so Butterfinger's suggestion about the shorter powertube spacer should work for you.
