As far as twistlocks go, you can find freak backs as well as dye barrels. I have never used a barrel adapter so I don't know if there are any performance drawbacks. If you are set on using cocker barrels, I would consider a ULE body. -

I have an RT classic and am unable to get the ULE body.
I am unable to find any twist lock barrels i may just have bad luck.

I have a decent selection of twist lock left here: http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=242305
I would suggest a dye aluminum if you shoot 689ish paint. I always had good luck with them on my classic.

ULE on a Classic is not impossible, but not for everyone.
I have never used a barrel adapter, but since it's just used to replace the breach, performance should be the same a using a ULE.Be Safe!Comment
