    Retro Valve Question

I'm a little on this and was hoping some of you guys could kick me some knowledge.

Will the standard on/off assy on a X-Valve work with an old Retro? I just purchased a mag and all it needed was a on/off so I figured the original on/off on my X-Valve should work since they're basically the same valve.

I think the pin might need to be changed but again that's why I'm asking...

    Thanks in advance...

...And who here can properly drill out the valve for the ULT?

the on/off should work fine, the only dif might be the o-rings.

Yes, all the RT style valves use the same On/Off. Only thing that changes valve to valve is the number of o-rings in top.

IIRC, the X valves and classic RTs both use a .750 length pin, it should be fine.

Tuna can drill out the valves for ULT.

        Sounds good guys.

        Thanks....

        So then...

Now that we've gotten the compatibility of the on/off out of the way, I'm having issued getting it to shoot. Once I gas it up, everything starts out fine...The trigger springs forward and you hear the pin setting but when I pull the trigger it doesn't fire. Any suggestions?

Only thing I noticed out of the ordinary is there's no gap between the trigger and the sear arm which I'm thinking is the problem and I'm about to adj here in a few min.

If that isn't the problem, try upping the velocity until it does fire reliably. Then take it to a chrono ASAP.

          LVL10?

Yes sir...I have a lvl 10 in it but it was doing it before i installed it so I'm sure it's not the problem.

I crashed last night and didn't get to mess with the seer so, I'll do it here in a few when the kids go down for there nap.

I'll try upping the pressure first before I start adj that seer.

Rule of thumb. Do the simple **** first then work your way to the harder stuff.

            Thanks again Watcher.

Do your valve have the single oring in the on/off hole?

I just machined my ReTro valve to accept the ULT. Still have to test it, but it looks fine. Tunaman does it professionally.

Well...Turning up the velocity did the trick, sort of. I had to turn it to the point that it leaks (hissing out the back). It fires, lvl 10 is working but the hissing is the only drawback. You guys think my spring pack might be Tango Uniform?

Already r2 my orings in the back reg so it's not a oring issue. Tank has pressure and all I can think of is it's one or both Reg springs.

                Edit...Maybe the reg piston?
