    y-frame trigger pin

How do you remove the trigger pin from a y-frame? I tried hitting it with a hammer/punch, but it didn't seem to want to move. Is there a direction or method that I should be using? Or do I need a vise to get it out?

Usually there is one side of the pin that is bulged out so it stays in place. If you are hitting it from that side, it will be very difficult to push out. I don't know how to tell which side is which though, trial and error I guess.

Man I swear the thing will not come out.

Maniac, you mean I should tap it on the right hand side, and it should pop out the left?
