A Few Noob Questions about X-Valves and MaxFlos

Hey, I am a future owner of a Automag ULE Custom and I have a few questions about the bolt and general setup of the gun. I have read a lot of the threads, but before I spend $500.00 on a gun that I don't need but want really bad, I need to ask a few questions.

After reading all of the stuff on the Zak Vetter site about rapid fire he mentions to make sure that the Level 10 is properly "tuned". What exactly does this mean? Just make sure it is working properly or do you actually disassemble the bolt and do something to it?

When purchasing the gun, Vetter says he does not have the ULT kit installed on any of his markers, if I get the ULT kit does this this create unnecessary trigger bounce when sweet spotting the trigger and cause random fluctuations in firing? If this is the case, what is the ideal setup to abuse the RT? Is it just determining the correct number of shims to use to fit your shooting style?

After a lot of research I decided on getting a Maxflo as this seems to be generally what people use. Does the bottle you stick onto the Maxflo play any part at all so long as it is 4500? The reason I ask is I have an old 68/4500 PMI bottle with dented nozzle and want to take that off and put a Maxflo on it. All that matters here is that you have the high pressure Maxflo that is adjustable up to 1200psi correct and not so much the tank you are sticking it on?

    Thanks in advance

Some disassemble required (not to the bolt itself) and the biggest part is finding the right carrier O'ring combo so it doesn't leak. Finally tuning with the shims. Everything you need to know is right here.

Exactly. ULTs aren't necessary for RT'ing but will, sort of make it easier to achieve it. Just keep adding shims one at a time (testing as you go) until you hit nirvana or until you have a runaway gun and just pull one out. Basically what I did was added shims till I hit the wall (runaway). Pulled 2 shims out and slowly adj my air pressure till I got my desired effect (my reg is set between 950-1000 psi but pressures vary depending what effect your going after, tinker with it). What that did was allowed me to go either semi for accuracy (more of my play style) or RT when the law needs to be laid down. Best of both worlds. It all depends on your play style. If all your looking for is then add shims till your guns goes rogue (runaway) then remove one. Then max out your psi and get ready to your $ away

In a nutshell, keep adding shims till you get the effect you want.

Bottle has no effect. Performance all comes from your reg. The bottle is just the vessel, your reg is the bread and butter of your air source. Your tank will be fine.

The ULT will also make it so that it is a lot harder to bounce depending on how you tune it. I would recommend that because most fields don't allow bouncing and i know if you were playing and bouncing i would sure throw you off the field.

Also, the level 10 is fairly easy to adjust, if it leaks down the barrel you move down a carrier size, if you get bolt stick you move up a size, but you have to break the level 10 in so after a few hundred rounds you'll have to move down a carrier size. Also, you just put a ball or something in the breech halfway, pull the trigger, and you can get it so it will bounce off anything, but if it doesn't vent at all you need more shims, if it vents all the time you need less. I got mine set up within like 10-20 min and haven't had to touch it since.
