    Or a sign that they need a good cleaning :rofl:

    If they are serviceable, take them apart and clean them out, if they don't come apart, try pushing the ball in and adding a drop of oil inside the detent..

    Usually when they go bad, the ball gets all pitted and bumpy.. Or the spring looses it's pressure on the ball.. If they are sticking I can only think of 2 reasons why..

    1 They are dirty and gummed up inside..
    2 The ball is worn down so much that it's almost small enough to make it out the detent body..
    it catches on the body and needs to be pushed back in..

    If it's 1, cleaning/oiling it should work.
    If it's 2, then you need new detents

        I cleaned mine out by submerging them in vinegar ball side up, then push on the ball part several times with the back of a pen, let them soak for a few minutes, then push on the ball again to clean out the old paint. You can then wash them out with water, let them air dry, add a little bit of oil, and then reinstall them...
