    power tube spring???

Just bought an older mag(serial number under 30,000) and was putting new seals in when I discovered the spring. What's the story with that. It works fine but should I send it in to AGD and if so how does that work?? Thanks

As long as it is still working, leave it alone..

You can always replace it with the current power tube spacers anytime you want. The spring is from the original design, but the level 7 guns went to the solid spacer.

It's still a level 7 gun, just old enough that it was around when they were using springs instead of spacers. The spacers don't wear like the spring so you just find the correct size spacer that works for your gun and then leave it alone.

My Minimag originally came with a p/t spring, and it was a level 7... AGD actually sent me a ton of'em because of a leak problem I was having. I've still got a dozen or so in my toolbox, even though I went to the spacer kit about 4 years ago. :)
