My preset 68ci tank has leaked out the fill valve for awhile, real slowly though. Not its leaking out the small port thats about the size of a pencil tip on the side of the reg. Any suggestions on a repair? Can it be outright replaced?

Your best bet would be to take it to a pro shop and have them install a new reg.Originally posted by neilrmessickMy preset 68ci tank has leaked out the fill valve for awhile, real slowly though. Ninja has a semi-adjustable one for $35 that works well.

Dude. That's a super easy fix. Unscrew your fill nipple, get a scribe or anything that will fit in the side where you attach the air hose and push the guts out of the fill nipple. There's a O'ring inside that you have to replace. Put everything back together, use tape on your threads and you should be good.
EDIT: Make sure you degas the tank

Hehe Ando.
I think when he said "Not it is leaking..." he meant "Now it is leaking" which would mean he has a leak that is from the body of the reg, not the fill nipple.

There's 2 or 3 O'rings inside those regs. I've disassemble mine before and cleaned/ck'ed/replaced said O'rings Might want to ck that first. You don't need to pull the reg apart from the tank. Just unscrew the top.
Easier said then done I know
I'll try to find a picture of one broken down.Last edited by Ando; 08-19-2009, 02:42 PM.
