    Xvalve w/ult

I recently got an X-valve in a deal. When I first got the marker, I aired it up, fired it and it seemed fine. I have since moved some parts around to creat the Mag I wanted and now seem to be having issues. I realized just last week that it seems to have the ULT as well.

The problem is when I air it up, it seem to "click" resetting the trigger etc, but when you fire it, it doesn't seem like it's opening the valve all the way. It is a very light shot. Not nearly enough to propell a ball 280fps. I tried the valve on another rail to make sure it didnt have to do with my mods and still getting the same thing. I tried turning the reg in and out. It gets stronger with the reg all the way in , but not nearly enough.

I pulled the ULT out and oiled it. The o-rings seem ok from what I see, but honestly not sure what I am looking at. It appears to have 5 shims. What should I be looking for?

what spring are you using on the bolt? The ULT trigger pull is 15oz. whereas the the RT on/off trigger pull is 3 lbs give or take. You will notice it takes almost no effort at all to pull a trigger with ULT. 4-5 shims is pretty much the standard acorss ULT owners. I noticed the same thing but have never had a problem shooting over 280 fps.

Go stock with the ULT (2 shims) see how that works for you. What spring are you using?

this is the ULT discussion thread. There are alot of good answers in here if you read all the way through it. http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=96538
As Ando and I have stated, check which spring you are using. Also as Ando mentioned, start with 2 shims in it and work your way from there. The more shims the less pull required to operate the trigger

Ok, so apparently, I am just a dumb..s. After switching valves, markers, trying every conceivable combination. I have come to the conclusion that it isn't the ult at all, but the detent in the ule body that is causing the lvl 10 to chuff. The body works with a Microvalve with level 7, but as soon as I put the X or Emag Valve with lvl10, it 1/2 fires. Is that what is referred to as chuffing? I do remember when I first got the ule, the detent has some small plastic spacers on it, but thought they were shlag. Apparently not. If I unscrew the detent a couple of thread, it fires fine. So, now the question is... where did I put the spacers, or did I throw them away?

Thanks for the help guys. I guess you cant fix stupid.

            Lesson learned.

See if the detentes aren't worn out first. I had a set where the outer rim that was holding the balls in elongated. Balls would hang out more then usual and sometimes would stick, lvl 10 would hit it and do what your saying. If they snag up even once just toss them and get a new set.

Thanks, gonna have to do something. Can't leave it unscrewed, because it seems to be unscrewing when fired. Tried putting an extra o-ring in and seems to be working, but may just get a new one. I honestly, have never used anything with this type of detent. Are they are standard thread?

AGD detents should be angel threaded. I have a new one if you need it. PM me for pricing.
