Lavel X bolt stem

OK , I been setting up this LX , no big deal , but It wouldn't vent & reset , tried way more shims than ever , tried diff carriers , diff springs , won't vent & reset can't figure it out , its givin me a headache , so finally I picked up another valve pulled the bolt off it , it fit ok , put it in and wala a shooter , vents & resets no problem
Upon further figuring I found that the hole in the stem of the #1 bolt was .180" shorter than the hole in #2 bolt , so the hole in #1 bolt was not deep enough to reach the vent hole in the side of the stem , so no vent , no reset

Has anyone ran into this before I know it had me going for a while

Never heard of a bolt like that, but it makes sense with what you are describing. It was probably just a glitch in the machining of the bolt. Call AGD and get an exchange.
