AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
There's about an inch of the body from the back that you can cut into without problems, anywhere past there and you risk gettin dirt and whatnot into the bolt/spring area. People have cut windows and such, and if you look at Karta bodies and similar, the cuts go pretty far.
On the front of the body, for twistlock bodies you can probably cut windows and such as well, since the barrel will be covering the breach.
If you mean to cut it off, and not just windows or designs, id recommend against that.
I've had no problem cutting a good inch off the front of a classic body... I cut the rail down to match. Just as long as there's a twistlock pin and enough body to keep the barrel straight. I ended up using an Angel frame / ASA and it worked just fine.
