    Emag with new acrylic grips

I just got 2 new sets of acrylic grips from Stinger paintball for my emag, one is clear smoked and one has a image on it. On the right side of the grip (non LCD side) there is a screw that sticks out (I was not aware of the screw when I ordered the grips), because of this I can not install the grip on that side.

The stock grips have a small indent to allow for this screw. I could try to counter sink by drilling into the grip or I could try making a hole in the grips, I am not sure how this will affect the clear on but I think it would damage the image on the other one.

    Any suggestions

I am also contacting stinger paintball.

    Thanks

I just bought a shorter screw at the hardware store to fit my SPD grips.

Just take the stock screw to the store with you to match up the threading and get something shorter.

It's the bottom screw holding the emag board in place. It protrudes out to the other side of the frame.

I will go looking for one later today.

It is the screw that goes into the solenoid mount, I could not find a good image of it.

I would not say it is the bottom screw it is near the middle of the grip. I will take a picture of it soon.

Oh, that one? I got confused :)

I didn't bother using that screw. I'm sure someone may disagree, but with both panels secured, the solenoid mount isn't going anywhere.

I'll agree with twilight on this one , the screw ( IIRC ) basicly keeps the solenoid from moving to far , the solenoid "floats " in the frame

I just put the stingers on my Xmag. i took out the scrre that holds the noid, the flat acrylics seem to keep it a lil snug anyways, and the screw that holds the board in, i just dremeled the tip off and it works fine

i took the screw out of my xmag and the grips hold it in nice and tight. no worries there! also, chop a little off the board screw and you should be fine

You could counter sink the hole in the solenoid holder and use a counter sink screw to hold it in place. That way there would be no surface protruding but it would still maintain a tight hold on the solenoid.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Thanks for all the advice, I took the screw out and nothing is moving around. I also dremeled down the other screw a bit.

I took the screw out of my xmag years ago and it'd been just fine without it
