    WTB or Build an ETac/XTac

I have a tac one and I would love to turn it into an ETac or XTac (whats the major difference aside from software?)

What parts do I need to make this happen? More importantly, can I order the parts and put it together myself or should I have a professional do this?

... Sorry I'm new to the electro scene. Been playing paintball for 12 years and was never willing to convert to electro until earlier this year at D-Day when I found out that Mags had the ability to switch to mechanical if the battery died. I can't believe I never knew that about mags before

Never heard the phrase XTac used before. ETacOnes came with X-valves, and so do standard TacOne markers. The X is more likely a reference to Xmod programming, which is vastly superior to standard emag flashing on the modern paintball field. You'd want Xmod 1.8 in that case.

Either way, until they make a unibody extra-ultralight TacOne marker there shall be no Xtac, methinks

Good luck with your conversion! Emags are amazing markers, and the TacOne body is a pretty and functional piece. Expect to pay at least $300-$400 for lowers, though, because even though they're old they still go for a pretty penny. Thankfully Xmod flashing is fairly cheap, so you could buy a simple set and build up from there.

What parts exactly consist of the xmag lowers? Can I piece this together myself or should I should I just purchase the full kit from someone? If I should purchase who should I purchase from?

X mag & E Mag lowers are the same EXCEPT X mag lowers are ULE'd & have the area for the ACE board machined out , the big give away is a small hole on the drivers side in front of & above the trigger guard

do you have a R/T length rail ? , all you need is a E Mag, R/T length rail & a set of E Mag lowers

X Mod is a program that can be loaded onto the board , more options than a stock program

KC will normally have a set or 2 for sale

Great. What are the exact parts I would need to buy though? I am just trying to get a list right now, and then I've got to work on the wifey to let me do it.
