    Chopping with R/T Pro

ok i just bought a r/t pro and i went to play. i got there, bought 1000rds of paint. out of that 1000, i probably chopped like 300 or 400. i was not short stroking. could i have been outshooting the revy? do i need a new bolt? new o-rings? or do i need a warp?

The number one problem with mags is that people blame chopping on factors other than user error. Nine out of ten people that say they weren't short stroking were. I did myself.

Du bist, was du machst. Punkt.

How brittle was the paint? Were your nubbins installed correctly?

Is paint breaking in the breech getting on the bolt face and blowing up the feed tube? Are you using the parabolic PF plug? It should have two holes for set screws in the handle if it's the parabolic plug. Or is the paint breaking down the barrel? As said before, make sure your wire nubbins are installed correctly, or better yet get the plastic nubbins.

Make sure your paint fits your barrel properly and do a bounce test on the paint. If it's too brittle and too small or too big for the barrel, you'll have problems.

I had this same problem, I went to a tourney and turned my gun into a blender for paintballs. Christmas came along and i got a warp. It solved my problem. I think i was out shooting the revy.

i was using bigball and it was actually chopping in the powerfeed. the paint was new. i'm using a crossfire 68 3000 if that'll help any. i think i was outshooting the revy. and i do have a parabolic plug.

                Chopping

90% of the chopping problems I'm had have come from either the nubbin being deformed due to wear or the barrel size being too small for the paint. Automags should have a loose barrel fit for the paint to reducing chopping....Good luck.
