The warp already comes with a 90* elbow, using Luke's wouldn't change it much on top of the marker I don't think.Originally posted by mad4tv13ok one more question on the adaptor on the top i plan on using a ptd adapter and had an idea to put one of lukes 90" elbows on top to cut down tube length and just suck it all a bit tighter to the marker could i do that??Comment

i meant using the 90" elbow with the ptd adapter to angle the tube straight down maybe just the stock adapter depending on what it looks like just to cut down the over all size of the tube in the face what does the stock one look like
... sorry im a complete noob when it comes to warp feeds but im trying to learnComment

Oh, I see. I think you're overthinking it a little, the warp hose really isn't an issue. It's nowhere you'd put your hand anyway and the warp stops your hand/arm from hitting it - the Pinokio will be much more in the way than the warp hose ever would be :)Originally posted by mad4tv13i meant using the 90" elbow with the ptd adapter to angle the tube straight down maybe just the stock adapter depending on what it looks like just to cut down the over all size of the tube in the face what does the stock one look like

Just try it out and go from there.Comment

Lots of interesting ideas here. I'll throw my 2 cents in. I've used a warp for 9 years, on a bushmaster 2k, DM4, Angel, 05 Timmy Alias, and warp left EP mag. You can tie the wires into anything that makes a pulse when you pull the trigger. On the Bushy, it was actually tied into the little green light that flashed when I pulled the trigger. On some guns it was tied into the solenoid, and on some the actual trigger switch leads. Personally, the vibration sensors (and I've used them all, agd and ptp) are inconsistent and will eventually tick you off. If I had to use the vibration sensor, I wouldnt' use the warp.
As far as hose placement, one of my favorites is on my 05 Alias. I run the hose out of the warp, under the barrel, and to my 90 adapter on the right side of the barrel. This gets it out of the way of the hopper, and also gets it out of my vision when I'm looking down the left side of the gun. Yes, it exposes an extra 1 inch of hose on the right side of the gun, but, it eleminates more than 1 inch of my big head by allowing me to look down the left side of the gun instead of the right, without having the hose in my view. See pics below. Hope that helped.

well with the hose thing i was thinking of using one of lukes one piece 90 degree elboe and attach it to the ptd adapter and send the tube straight down on the left side like an upside down j as far as my very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very limited knowledge on this sort of thing im not sure if that would work
as for the sensor how would you attach the wire to the solenoid because i dont know how to do and im not taking a soldering gun to my baby...periodComment

Paintball Talk is the main forum for Automags.org. Here is where we talk about the sport of paintball in general and make announcements relating to the forum and website.
thats a link inside the forum similar to what i had in mind look for the name GRimm he/she is about 1/3 down the page he posted an emag with i believe a left warp body he has a 90" elbow of somekind going straight from the frame to his warp in a straight line that was what i was thinking ill see if i can get a link to the page...

Yeah, it looks a bit cleaner I guess but it isn't THAT much different from just using the standard 90* elbow that comes with the kit.Originally posted by mad4tv13http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...ight=body+work

yeah but my guns a vert feed and the ptp adapter clamps right to the neck cutting an inch or so off the top the with the cheepo 90 elbow it can cut down tube in my face and it would clear up the sight rails a little bit,
i dont know if it would do what i wanted but i was just wondering if it could be doneComment

Any one else notice a problem with this picture? How is the led on with no battery?Originally posted by AndoDo you have a wire going into that plug that is labeled pulse? That connector look like the same one on the Emag board for the warp.
EDIT: After further reading that pulse port is used for the Empire RF board and pulse boards which will also work with the warp cable so you should be good.
That is a aftermarket board so I'm not sure if the stock board has that connector.

What does the vibration plate do, specifically? I am going to guess that it senses the ball shooting by the vibrations? I just bought a warp, and it is supposed to have one of those, but based on some of the responses, I should just wire it into a board, or mount a switch in the frame...Comment

It is a disc with some contact springs on the board, and when the springs vibrate the board tells the motor to spin.Originally posted by leloupWhat does the vibration plate do, specifically? It seems fairly reliable, as long as the gun is allowed to be physical about shooting. If you are holding it, the sensor should work. The only times it wouldn't were if it was broken, or the gun was being fired viced to a 200lb table...
GRimm, who is indeed a he, has been using the vibration sensor the entire time he's had a warp and I never heard a complaint out of him.
I used the vibration sensor for a while as well, but eventually went to an Intelli-switch.
The only reasons I went Intelli was to be different and so I didn't have to screw around with the Dwell jumpers... I never had any problems with it on the vib sensor.Last edited by Watcher; 12-01-2009, 05:42 PM.Comment
