    Tac One Feednecks

    Hey all,

Im new to Mags and this forum, but I recently purchased a Tac One for a song and a dance, and have been making it my own since. My main problem now is the feedneck so:
    • What are your expeiriences with various feednecks that are on the market?
    • What ones would you all suggest?
    • Ive been told they are Angle threaded, but Im not certain of that..
    • Do they make any lever lock feednecks that will work with the Tac One?

    Thanks a bundle,
    Rob

    (1) Good?

    (2) RPG I don't need to remove my hopper on the field, so I would go with the RPG sine I like the lowest possible profile: http://pblegion.com/showthread.php?t=4307

    (3) Yes their angel threaded

    (4) Yes Hybrid.

Here is a pic of my Tac One with a RPG SubZero feedneck:

Actually... CCM makes a 1" no pro feedneck that sits lower than the RPG sub Zero.
Paintball Talk is the main forum for Automags.org. Here is where we talk about the sport of paintball in general and make announcements relating to the forum and website.

That is the 1" no pro.
I sell them if you want to PM me for a price.

I can vouch for CCM feednecks. I've owned one on damn near every gun I've had, even my old Spyder I had one on!

          RPG Subzero

Both the RPG Subzero and the CCM necks are excellent so I think you will be happy with either decision. I prefer the look and sturdyness of the Subzero. Here is mine on my Tac-One

Hey FPT - is that a Sub Zero or an AKA? The clamp looks a little smaller on yours.

LOL Richard, looks like you put the wrong pic up. It does look like a BP feedneck.

rob373, here is a pic of fixel's E-Tac with RPG Subzero feedneck. Really clean looking also. But again, I'm sure you will be happy with whatever you choose.

Big E your correct that is an AKA feedneck. My SubZero is on my pneumag. There are very close in design and height...

This is not quite accurate. There isnt a feedneck on the market that sits lower than the Sub-Zero. The Sub-Zero feedeneck sits as low as a feedneck can.

Where there is a difference is the cup height. The Sub-Zero has a full cup which covers the hole hopper neck. The No-Pro has a cup ~half the height of a hopper neck.(see link provided for a pic).

The only way to get a hopper to sit lower in the No-Pro is to modify the hopper neck and cut it down to take advantage of the shorter cup. Without modification, a hopper will sit relatively the same height in either.

So it becomes a matter of preference between wanting to modify or not as far as height.

Either one would be a matter of preference. Both feednecks are good choices and the OP will not go wrong with either

Just wanted him to have all the available and accurate information to make his decision.

Besides height, there are other factors to consider. The Sub-Zero is made with a bigger bolt than all other feednecks on the market, so there is more clamping force and less chance of stripping. I know of no other feedneck with the larger bolt. This makes it a more robust neck, as some others have mentioned the sturdyness.

CCMs are a little cheaper, so if you want to save a couple of bucks thats a good choice. It also comes in a variety of colors, another factor that may be of importance.

For a pic of the Sub-Zero, and some feedback you can find them here: http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=245781

Thanks for the info guys, how good are the clamping feednecks from hybrid or CP? I have only used DP clamping feednecks, so Im not familiar with how well the other ones work.

I've got a cp clamping on my tac one I think it looks great & it's got a nice quick release. Got mine at dday when my qloader crapped out on JTs crappy paint. The no tool adjustment and release are very nice

Anyone know who did FlyingPootang's anno job for that tac-one above? I love it, it's exactly the look I've been looking for to do my Tac-one. Anyone know the name of that green?
