T-Board Problem

I just got a electro-pnue set up in a trade and im having problems with the t-board and cant find the anything like it in the search.

When I got everything, it all worked fine out side of the frame. After instaling everything the board wont turn on. All I get from the power button is a blue light that will stay on as long as I keep pushing the button. Any thoughts on what could be wrong?

Also I was researching this over at scenario dreams' site and noticed that they dont include a capacitor but the set up I have has one, is it needed or can I do without it?

From what i've read here on AO, a electro-pnue doesn't need the capacitor.

What T-Board are you using?

What kind of battery or voltage in? Rechargable? 9volt?

can you pull the board out of the frame and again and power it up ? if so i suspect either the board is shorting out on the frame or you have a bad wire somewhere .

Ok I have the numbers you need p8ntbal4me.

Noid= EP noid model S070C-SDG-32
T-Board= 2 button open bolt
Battery= standard/ run of the mill 9 volt

As or the voltage goes I dont know that. I dont have a meter to test that.

I have taken everything back out of the frame when I couldn't solve the problem. Even out of the frame it still dosn't power up. I have checked all the wires and they look to be in good shape. There was a capacitor that I took off to see if that was the problem but still no luck.

All the wireing looks to be right. That as far as I can tell that is. I didn't recieve any instructions or a wire diagram so I'm hoping the previous owner did it all correctly. To his credit it did work before I started installing it in the frame. Could it be a simple fix like the capacitor that I took out is bad and just installing a new one could fix it?

You might have a broken wire with in the wire jacket (the plastic coating around your wires). Try moving the wires around while you pull the trigger and see if it actuates.

if the cap is bad it will be expanded on the top or bottom. it will bow out instead of being flat.

It will look like that or burnt somewhere. Never seen one burnt but in pictures. Always seen them bulge like so.

Well its not the cap then. After looking over the wireing diagram(thanks Mann your the man lol) everything is hooked up right except for the noid. Its wired for a electric noid and not a ep noid so that will have to be changed.

You need to check the wire diagram that MANN posted against your own wiring and see if its correct.

You dont need a capacitor with that solenoid your using,.. but if I was going to do an install I would use one either way,.. it solves problems with the voltage spikes if you ever get any from bad wiring or damage done to the board over use (ie: the 9volt smashing into it inside the frame).

A simple 16v 470uf capacitor like I sell works fine for solenoids up to 14volts (thats what I have tested so far)

You can buy these cheaper from Radio Shack than it would cost to get one shipped from me,.. if you need one in a pinch.

If its the open bolt version of the board (1 or 2 button),.. changing the wires around wont matter
