    Teching an old mag.

Worked on an old (10 years in the closet) RT Pro at Wayne's World this past weekend.

    It was an experience.

I had to scrape off the bumper with a razor blade. It was the consistency of gooey rubber cement. The o-rings were dry, brown and crumbled when touched with a fingernail. The flag on the (wire) nubbin snapped during play.

It went down after a full day of play on Saturday, but then it went down with the desintegration of the reg valve pin o-rings.

Anyone else have interesting teching horror stories?
The gooey bumper was a rare treat.

    Gooey bumper I have seen.

I always love when the bolt spring is rusted to the bolt.

I've had to separate a classic body and rail with a mallet. Even the grip screw broke off inside.

The saddest one I have seen (besides rust/corrosion) is sand in the valve body. Not a pile, but a good coating and more than would fit through a compressor on a daily basis.

The check valve on my old micro-ca had turned to mush; I had to use a diagram to remember what it looked like.
