Are ALL Angel feednecks threaded the same?

I'm looking to buy a feedneck from a guy on CC. He says that it's off of an Angel A4. I thought I heard somewhere that some of the later model angels had different threading. It doesn't make sense that they would have been changed, but I just want to make sure that this will work with my ULE body.

    Thanks.

that one should work just fine, Its the A1/A1Fly (maybe the g7 fly's too) that have a different thread.

      Maybe you're thinking of barrels?

LED through A1 all use the same feedneck. Heck, even IONs have Angel-threaded feednecks... They just have 1 or 2 more rings of threading, so it's only compatible one way.

It's amazing to me that Angel set standards in things like detents and feednecks, but the company is doing so poorly (at least around here, where new in box A1s are selling for $500 from major retailers). I personally think it's because A1s don't need upgrades, and therefore many common upgrades (for other markers) aren't available.

        I stand corrected.

Another reason for the lack of popularity was a few rumors, and WDP losing successful sponsored teams for a few years. Basically they went out of AGG style and thus are now "crappy" guns

One of these days I'm going to get an Angel just to have one.

They were the unholy terrors of the field when I started playing, and were silly expensive and out of reach then.

Are you sure about that? I purchased an Ion clamping feedneck from CP because it said it fit an Angel A1. However, it did not fit my ULE body when I got it. Maybe they sent me the wrong one. Of course they didn't respond to me when I sent them an email about it.

I think the CP web site or a vendor actually says it doesn't work on older angels. I don't know what the difference is. I wish I could remember where I read that. I was looking at those and the redz at the time. Maybe it was the redz that had the information.

Ion feedneck threads and Angel threads are not the same. It is unfortunate that the tolerance and material quality has gone down to the point that in some cases it can be made to work, but it is not right.

Really? My buddy collects Dark Angels (LED, LCD, IR3) and said the threading was the same... He showed me a couple of his markers with ION feednecks, they just had a tiny gap between the breech and the bottom of the tube. I guess that's as good an explaination as any.

Another reason WDP/APS is not doing so hot is their sponsorships. They still play a lot of the bigger events, but the average player won't see many pro players on the field with Angels at their local events. Joy Division has essentially left some of the more mainstream tournaments in the US after a string of VERY bad referee incidents. .

There was the "overshooting" of a hit player on the other team who continued to play and shot out the guy who hit him, only to be hit again

The "losing" of a match where the opposing teams flag wasn't present at the bar, but was in fact 20ft out of bounds. They 'timed out', unable to score, having eliminated all of the opposing team minutes before... They ran from the bar back to the line, a ref said "you need something with you" so they tapped a pod to the bar and ran back again, when a ref said "you need to bring the bar itself..."

Or the "playing on" calls, one for a player getting hit mid slide and continuing to slide (to a stop), the other for a guy who took a "gun hit" that was actually a nickel-sized dribble of paint from his breech after a few ball breaks.

There's video of most of this weirdness, and it seems like they either encountered some serious bad luck, or they just can't get a good ref when they play Dynasty... Either way the result is that you won't be seeing them on the field, and that's eliminating a good portion of Angels state-side advertising.
