When you say "reg", I assume you mean valve? But yes, you can put almost any mag valve on almost any mag rail/body. The ONLY exception is the Classic RT which used a different body and a banjo bolt in place of the field strip screw.

Oh, and welcome back. You'll love it here.

thanks. i put it in a regular mag body and frame and pulled the trigger. it goes full auto and wont stop until i let go of the trigger. any ideas why it would be doing this?

Is the trigger pushing back on your finger? If so its RTing

What type of air supply are you running?

the on/off pin is much shorter in the emag so you'll need to order a new one http://store.airgundesignsusa.com/in...&categoryID=23

            You need an RT on/off.

The emag on/off's are too short to shut off the gas supply to the bolt when the trigger is pulled.

EDIT: Good one Coralis. Beat me, with a link too.

thanks. i had another pin laying around that looked the same but when i compared them the one that was in the valve was smaller so i swapped them out and put it back in and it rocks......so if you could explain it to me one more time. i put a longer on/off pin one from an rt into it to make it work in a stock gun body and rail. what frame would i have to use to need to put the shorter pin back in? sorry for the questions but all i use to do is 8 hole mod them with the drill press and a spacer kit with a double finger trigger and that was fast enough for me.......

                  Emags use a shorter pin.
                  RT's use a longer pin.

I guess it would be because a solenoid moves faster, and more fully, than a human finger. Because of this, a shorter pin is used in an Emag because a solenoid will open and reclose the on/off fully so fast that the longer pin can lead to shoot down. While a manual frame with a shorter pin will cause short-stroking.

A stock RT on/off measures .750" tip to tail.
A stock Emag on/off measures .712" tip to tail.

Just stick with mech unless you really need the speed.

A manual mag will be extremely dependable if you watch the Tom Kaye video manual.
Emag lowers are dependable if you understand the workings of the valve (the Tom Kaye video) and understand the workings of the of the frame (don't adjust the Hall Effect sensor magnet too much).

Mags are as dependable as their user.

Mags are all physics. Understand the physics and you'll have the most dependable gun of all time. Their tolerances are very tight, so you won't have to suffer through "Invert Mini Version 1 Parts" syndrome.

Thats probley one of the ( if not the ) best reasons i've ever heard to start playing again , but beware if you start him with a Mag , don't let him near a computor & AO or your checkbook will come up missing

There's a bunch of guys that live in NJ that play with mags.

Some of these dirt bags here....

...live and mostly play up in the Jersey area. And are all mag nuts.

They're really good guys...once you get to know them...They haze you for the first couple of days but after that your like family
