Hello all.
I'm Cory Sarafinchan and I've been into and playing paintball since 1998.
In the last few years though I've not been able to play as often..

The question I have is this. I have a Automag classic and would like to update it.
I have an ADG carbon fiber grip already but would like to know what else I can do for this.

I'd like to get into air and away from CO2. The biggest compliant I have about his gun is the hose routing for the gas ... does somebody make a grip that has air line going through the handle? Another thing I've been looking is a vertical feed body but then why not just dump a grand and get a new gun...

Please any help is greatly accepted.

It's the Official Automag Photos thread. Go towards the end of all of the pages since most of the links for the first pages are old and don't work. Look around and see what you like. Then post up what you're looking for. As far as the gas through the grip goes, I've only seen one trigger frame for a mag which does that, and I don't think they're readily available. There are plenty of people here to help you out with what you need, so peruse the buy/sell/trade section (and all of the sections here for that matter). You won't be disappointed by sticking with your mag and making a few upgrades to it to get it how you want it. Welcome, and have fun.

Body: Rogue Products as well I think, forget the name right now. But you could get by with a standard ULE body, around $100

(All of the Rogue Products (RPG) are top notch and Rogue himself is a stand up guy.)

Rail: I think it's a Dallara. There's one here: http://automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=247792

Valve: Standard X-Valve, can be had pretty commonly used here, just keep an eye out - $200 or less.

Barrel: Smart Parts freak back with White Wolf Airsmithing 1" tip (I think). Freak backs can be had for $20-40. Tip can be found here: http://www.whitewolfairsmithing.com/barrels.htm

All in all, I'd say you're looking at an easy $5-600 on all of this for a similar setup. Good luck.

In other words look for a nice used X valved Mag here or the other forums and keep your classic as a backup , you can find a nice complete marker in the 4 to 6 hundred range

The only thing now that I'm missing is the bottom line/drop forward * air* and the expansion chamber and lines.

The drop and the asa are both CP (Custom Products). They can be had at pretty much any paintball retailer. The forgrip is just a gas thru, not an expansion chamber. If you're going to be using compressed air and not CO2, then you don't need an expansion chamber. Go to macrolineguy.com to buy the air fittings and hoses.

I've priced this out and find it's almost easier to get a newly build marker then upgrading this one.

Hello all.

Thanks again for all the help building my last automag :)
I sold it so fast that I didnt get to take any pics of it.. but Ive been told I'll get some from the guy who bought it

SO I now have another automag sitting here and I've got all the same CP parts on it, BUT this mag had someone spray tremclad primer on it... silly noob... so I'm going to get this striped and power coated black.

Now here's the question. I have the opportunity to tig wield the feed vertical.
Should I place it off set and use the hole already there? What feed problems might I have? I may still have the window there for blow back.
OR should I extend the hold and vertical center?

As I see the connection from the body to the feed neck it looks to be adhered to each other and not wielded. Or am I seeing it wrong.

I'll start taking pics when I get into the metal shop sometime this week.
