Pumpmag with level 10 X valve problems

This is my first attempt at a pumpmag and im having some issues right now. Ive used the above search option to find a solution with no help so Im turning to you geniuses.

Im having an issue when I air up the marker it airs up just fine, until I cock the gun, then air leaks down the barrel.

I was wondering if someone else has managed to make a level 10 X valve work in a pumpmag, and if so what will I need to be able to make my current setup work for me?

All of your insight would be greatly appreciated.

IIRC pump Mags can't use level 10 bolts. All 4 of mine have the Level 7 installed. Try changing the bolts and see what happens. It should work.

By the way, what a beautifull gun you got there! Congrats!

Most people use a level 7 bolt as the level 10 just introduces even more potential for problems.

Why do you want to use a level 10? If the only reason is because that is what you have then it may be worth your effort to pick up a cheap level 7 bolt.

If you must use a level 10 then you may want to try a tighter carrier. Maybe even trying more shims would help.

not really. Once you have what you need it only takes a few minutes.

You will have to go through just as much to put a smaller carrier in your level 10.

lvl 10 will work just needs tuning so it doesnt leak down the barrel when uncocked
