    Hyperframe Bolt Bounce?

Just scored a hyperframe. Installed it on my mag using classic valve. I installed the the centerflag on/off. It sounds like it is bouncing, firing 2-3 times in all modes. Got any ideas?

Was supposed to have 13, but NO it's got 20 BPS! Anyhow, the bolt for the body was a little long, so I left it out a little. That was the problem. When I hold the body down tight, I worked great, save the 20 BPS Semi Burst (I assume that is a recharge rate issue with classic valve).

Most you'll get out of a classic is 12-14bps.

With the Center Flag on/off it will go quite a bit faster.

The classic valve will go 16 bps, maybe more depending on your air setup.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

It's starting to bounce again. The bolt seems like it's getting a little worn around the edges. There wasn't any wear when I started. I think I got a knock off bolt. It wouldn't fit in the Z body the guy sold me with it. Think I need a new bumper and a real level 7 bolt. Anyone got any advice?

The only knock offs were the venturi bolts. If its bouncing, then it is probably a worn sear problem, more than a bolt issue. The bolt will wear if the hyperframe is not setup properly. Its a known issue.

The sear looks new. Not set-up correctly? I assume you are not talking about the settings. I played with them through 3 tanks of air. Not really sure, that's not called bolt stick is it? Settings didnt seem to affect it much.

After tons of searching, it sounds like my pin must be too short, I'll have to decide whether or not to buy a ULT or x-valve with level 10.

                            X Valve

But id get an Emag or ReTro Valve. They are cheaper and built out of stainless so they are indestructable

You're dwell setting should be about 15ms. Lower than that and you risk bolt wear.

Are you getting "chuffing"? That could be bolt stick caused by powertube spacer that is too short, but is most likely caused by the solenoid not properly activating the on-off. The hyperframe should be used with a ULT for proper operation, although the ULT doesn't function well in a classic frame due to the lower on-off pressure when compared to a retro valve. The electronic nature of the hyperframe should cause the ULT to function properly because you wouldn't have finger induced trigger/sear resistance.

Also, don't forget to change your bolt spring regularly. It is a consumable item in a mag and will wear out causing bolt stick.
