    Palmers Stab Question

Hey, anyone know if you can reverse the input for the Palmers stab and still have it regulate? Basically, I would like to have the air go into the output hole, then pass thru to the vert asa at the original pressure. I would have the original input hole hooked up to my cheater. This is the hole that would actually be the output of a low psi. Not sure if the regs are reversible. Don't want to buy one to find out that I can't use it the way I would like to. Thanks everyone

I'm not sure what exactly you're asking. What exactly are you trying to do with this stabilizer on your pneumag?

For a regulator, it doesn't matter which direction the air is flowing. Your bigger problem is that a stock Palmer's stabilizer only has one in and two outs (one for gauge and one for the output air). If you call them and ask for it, however, they can drill an extra high-pressure outlet so that HP air can still flow to the valve and LP air can go to the pneumatics. I almost went this route myself, but eventually decided to use a T-fitting to split the air before it entered the stabilizer.

I was looking to reverse it so in theory it would have 2 inputs and one output.

Basically the 800 psi would be a pass thru. it would go in from the tank to the out put hole, and pass thru the Male end. Then the regulated low pressure would come from the original input hole. I may have to look into having another hole drilled. We'll see. thanks

Call them, they don't mind talking to you at all.

I did by mistake and blew an o-ring. So I'd have to say no it's a one way street, then again it was a 14 year old unit.

Remember, there are lots of different stabilizers, too.

I'm sure they can figure out something that will work for you if you draw them a picture

Seems like you should be able to use thread adapters to use an inline or female stab, or maybe they can put female/inline internals in a male body to give the cleanest possible look.
