    Bolt Stick due to Body

Has anyone ever run into this? Even with the body removed from rail and sear, I finally figured out my bolt stick problem (thanks to this forum), but I realized that the bolt was sticking within the body itself. The only thing I can think of that may have caused this, was using an aftermarket rail that has a tension screw to set itself onto the mainbody. Either way, how is this fixable? I was able to diagnose the bolt stick due to the body by putting the bolt inside, and pushing it up inside the body, much as the valve would do. Then, by turning it 90 degrees, I noted that it wouldn't slide right back out, and I even had to use a squeegee to push it back out, with quite some force to free it. Any input here would be helpful. Thanks so much.

One is a classic PF, the other a classic normal (right) feed. The classic right feed was made in 1992, I don't know the year of the other.

It's happening on 2 separate bodies? You probably have a bad bolt bro. No way a SS body is out of whack let alone 2 of them unless they were beat with a hammer.

Also, the bolt doesn't go ALL the way inside the body. You probably have another issue somewhere. Try swapping out your spring. That's usually a problem child for bolt stick.

If the body washer is mushroomed, it could be tighter than normal. Take a file and gently run it around the inside of the hole in the washer. Once you take a bit of the metal off, it will be as good as new.

It could be an aftermarket bolt that is a bit larger than normal.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I'm gonna revive this! I have a micromag body. I couldn't get my RT valve to fire in it. I'm using a .740 pin and a cf frame. Feels like there is a lot of pressure when I pull the trigger. Of course it just rips right along in my minimag body and rail.

Do you have any other on/off pins , try a different one . IIRC Micro's took a different pin , don't remember the length

that's what I was thinking it needed shorter pin. since I've got a .740, was thinking on using a .712

The micro mags use a very short pin, even shorter than the .712". Try it. It will probably work.

I had an Emag valve in my Micro body for a little bit and it would rip with the .712 pin.
