Need new on/off pin, what length do I get?

My on/off pin is worn out, chipped, or pitted right under the head. It's not too bad but I might as well get a new one when I order my new gun.
I have a stainless steel valved rt-pro. I want to get lots of rt out of this gun and I know that a shorter pin will help this.
What is the length of the stock pin and what length should I get. I don't want to go too short and cause shooting problems, I can always throw a level 10 shim in there if I need to. I was thinking maybe a .728?

I measured my stock pin at about .765
      How short should I go?

Order a 0.740 and install a quad on-off oring instead of the white on-off oring. The length combination is effectively the same. The quad oring will reduce your friction and make the trigger more controllable, especially if you want to become more reactive. Then you can add a shim or two to effectively alter the point at which the on-off pin seals. This would be a great combination.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
