    Barrel Question

Is it possible to drill/mill a twist lock barrel for freak inserts?

I have what I believe to be a twist lock rain barrel I want to use on my Classic RT cause it's just too cool to not use I think. Just makes it look like a cannon or something with that huge wide barrel on it. (I still have much work to do on this poor marker, it's has a hard life I think)

No. It wouldn't be an easy task. The breach area prohibits it. You would have to put the inserts in from the front. Therefore you would need a two piece barrel so that you could take the front off to put the inserts in.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

could you make a hole in the side of the insert(s) to accomodate the breech of the twist-lock barrel? You would need some way to "key" the insert inside the barrel or secure it from the outside to prevent it from rotating and closing off the breech...seems like a lot of work, but I could see it being done...just a thought.

You would limit what size you can use, smallest insert that will fit over the lvl x bolt is a .691

The level 10 will fit in any barrel larger than 0.685".

Yeah, you could make an insert work. It would be difficult. You would need to keep it from rotating. Plus you would need the holes cut for the nubbins. The nubbins would have to be adjusted to compensate for the different barrel id.

OK so no go on the milling for inserts on twist locks. Does anyone know of a barrel system that looks similar to what I have on the RT mag pictured above?
