Single o-ring (stepped?) ReTro valve for E-Mag?

Hey I have one of those older single o-ring ReTro valves, with the stepped on/off hole, that cannot take an ULT. Can I use it for my E-Mag, if I get an E-Mag length pin, and a quad o-ring? The quad o-ring looks like it is grooved for the larger o-ring that the newer valves have, so it wouldn't seal to the step in the hole?

How about drilling the valve out, is that something that has a high degree of success with a competent machinist?

Go to Lukescustoms. He can do the milling for you.

I'm fairly positive you don't need to have it milled. I think many E-Mag valves have that step as well, so you should be just fine running just the single quad o-ring and a shorter pin.

You can use the quad oring and .712 pin in a stepped hole with no issues
that is how mine is in my RT Emag

A lot of use here have emags with the stepped on-off area. The only thing that changes between it and the newer ones with the flat bottom is the white oring that holds onto the quad oring. They work fine as they should.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
