    Rechonoing a tank

I just purchased an adjustable reg AA tank which needs to be rehydrotested. Two things:

First, whats a good place to have this done?

Second, apparently it may need a spring or some internal orings replaced. Who can also test this and get it repaired as well?

When I lived in Indiana the local paintball field could get it done for around $35.

Out here in AZ I can take it to the local welding place but it's around $50.

I'd check your local field first as they may be able to do something with the reg as well.

I don't know which AA reg you have, but I strongly recommend you keep the reg and just send the tank off.

I sent a Geddon in to be hydroed and the shop managed to loose the reg piston 0_0

I still don't know how, but they did make good on getting it fixed.

Hydro testing for paintball and scuba tanks / bottles with HydroLabWA in Bremerton, WA

I've used them on two occasions, total of 4 tanks. About a week from the time I sent them out to when I got them back both times. Total, including shipping ends up around $30/tank. I'd highly recommend them to anyone.

Ninja paintball also has a reg exchange/hydro deal going on where they will hydro the tank and exchange your old reg for a brand new Ninja Reg, all for around $35 (not including shipping). I figure you'd probably want to keep your AA reg (which, I'm sorry, I can't help you with), but if you have another reg laying around, even if it's broken (yes, I called them and asked them) you could use that.

Mail it off to one of the paintball testers. It isn't worth the hassle of having the local hicks damage your gear. (I speak from my experiences last week.) http://www.hydrotester.com/ or Ninja if you have an old reg you would like to upgrade.

If you can remove the reg before sending it off, do so. Tape over the mouth of the bottle so that crud doesn't find its way inside.
