Minimag Doesn't Like Boa barrel

I don't know if anyone else ever had this happen, but my Minimag won't fire with my stainless steel Boa barrel. I have to put pressure on the bottom of the barrel to get the minimag to cycle. I take that barrel off and put on the stock barrel or one of my other barrels...she fires just fine.

It's weird.

You have a lvl 10 installed?

Perhaps the barrel id is too tight for the bolt. If the barrel is not perfectly centered and the bolt just fits, then it will rub and not fire.

The weird thing is, my automag (level 10) with Classic valve fires just fine with the Boa barrel, but the Minimag doesn't.

Oh well. Glad I got a whole bunch of extra barrels!!

It could be that the twist lock device is tight on the minimag, causing the barrel to be offset just a bit. Not all barrels would be affected as much. It would depend on the clearance. Each barrel is machined with slightly different tolerances.

Try putting a wrap of tape under the barrel orings to see if it helps center the barrel a bit.
