    Emag leak

ok, so old rt mag is off to agd and new emag just came in, on to the new project! it appears to do the same as my other mag, sear tension with no trip in mechanical. solinoid will trip though in electro, but still no fire report. i read in Black VCG's thread http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=67604 about the brass top w/ double orings and aluminum w/ since orings. its a brass top w/ aluminum bottom, only has one oring (looks just like the rt on/off except the aluminum has a built in black oring) there isnt another oring at the bottom like the rt in the main valve body. anyone with knowledge of a quick fix?

That's a brass bottom and aluminum top. Usually the oring around the bottom is urethane. I suspect someone had a leak and replaced it with a regular black buna oring that they had. It should be fine.

The pin sounds like it is 0.712" long, which is good. Make sure it has the small black quad oring that fits on top of the aluminum section. It actually fits inside the small indentation inside the valve.

Most likely your problems of not firing are powertube related. If the gun has a level 10, tune it. Remove all the shims and install the largest carrier that doesn't leak. Always use the same white carrier oring when changing carriers. Install the shortest gold colored bolt spring.

Check inside the body without the valve installed and manually pull the trigger (mechanical mode) to see if the sear clears the bolt. If it doesn't you will have to adjust the solenoid plunger length and/or the trigger rod.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
