    Retro Valve question

    Hello all,

Maybe this was answered before so feel free to point me to an older thread, here it goes,

I have a ReTro Valve and it was shooting fine before, have been playing with my tac one for a while and yesterday I decided to use the Retro, put some drops of oil in the ASA and air it up, no leaks Chrono consistently 255, 256, 254 so I started playing, and I experienced awful shootdown when trying to shoot fast the first 2 balls will come out fine but then goes down to rolling balls out the barrel.

If I shoot slow, speed stays consistent, I'm not short-stroking it and the air tank I'm using is a Pure Energy 45/4500 which outputs 850psi. My tac one works fine with the same tank.

Any ideas on what can cause this?

Thanks in advance for yor help

It helpful to list all the equipment on your set up. I would first check the delivery route. Look at your on/off/ASA to see if your port holes are to small or semi blocked. If your using a secondary reg remove it.

      ^^^ Agree

Seems like your starving the valve. If what Pootang said doesn't fix it. You might have blockage in your lines/valve (teflon tap, dirt...etc..) Try replacing the 2 top on/off oring(s) and/or inspect/clean/oil your reg pin assy.

You are right, so following is a list of components of my set up. but I will install the ReTro Valve in my tac one and see if it does the same, this will narrow it down to the valve and rule out rail, trigger, frame, body, etc, etc. right?

        Here's the list:

        ULE Body
        Classic rail
        Benchmark frame with double trigger
        On/off ASA(dont know the make)
        ReTro Valve

But I will change the valve to my tac one today and post results...

        Thanks

Check the on-off ASA. If it pushes the bottle pin in too far or not far enough, it could starve the valve.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I used to have an on/off asa that would gradually unscrew during a game. It drove me nuts. Your symptoms sound similar.

Well, You guys were right, has something to do with the air path and/or ASA, I have installed my Retro Valve in my tac-one and shoots just fine so I know It's not the valve.

so I replaced the ASA on my other set up, I have not tested yet, but I'm pretty sure it will work fine.

                  Thanks for your help.
