RT Classic and general bolt question.

Alright, got an RT classic with a leak coming from the small hole on top of the regulator. I know mags tend to leak out the back when the velocity is too high but this is not the case. Which seal needs to be replaced? The only o-ring in the reg I actually see is the blue one in the very front, I figure it's either that or the regulator seat but I'd like to be sure before I start buying parts.

As for my inquiry about bolts I notice that the older valves have the solid blue bumper and the newer valves have the clear bumper that shreds like tissue paper. What's the reason for the switch and would something bad happen if I used the blue bumper in an x-valve?

    thanks guys.

your leak is from your reg valve pin. There are 2 orings on it. (the cut nylon washer is suposto be cut so leave it be)

The softer clear bumper was recommended when the retro valve came out due to the increased rate of fire. It protects the front of the valve better because it is more energy absorbent. With the slower level 10 bolt speed, using the blue bumper may not an issue on the x-valves.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
