AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
What is the problem? Mags usually just require cleaning. That fixes most problems. If the orings are old or damaged, then replacing them usually takes care of that. After a good cleaning and oring replacement, if you have any problems, post the problems and we can talk you through possible solutions. Its usually very simple.
What do you mean by UMF frames?
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
UMF's are Ultimate Mag Frames by Logic.
The gun does not consistently fire and I think the previous owner adjusted the sear rod.
Also has a small leak down the barrel on the Pro.
Put the safety on and hold the trigger against it. The trigger rod should almost touch it. There should be about a credit card thickness between the trigger rod and the back of the trigger. This is done with the marker aired up.
for a leak down the barrel, remove the powertube shims first. That may cure the problem. If not, then check the oring for obvious defects and dirt. If none are obvious, go to the next smaller carrier size using the same white carrier oring. Make sure all shims are removed when making any level 10 adjustments. They can cause false leaks if the vent hole is too close to the carrier oring.
If the gun does not fire consistently, it may have a spring that is too stiff for the velocity range you are operating at. Start at a low setting at which the gun will not fire. Then increase the velocity setting until the gun fires. This is your starting velocity. Turn the gun up 20fps above this low setting. The new setting is the optimum velocity for the bolt spring that you are using. If the velocity is too high, then you need to use a lighter bolt spring. If the velocity is quite a low, then you should use the next stiffer bolt spring. Each time you replace the bolt spring, you should find out its proper operating setting by starting at the lowest velocity that it will fire at using that spring and then increase to 20fps above it. You can vary the actual velocity a bit lower or higher than the optimum value. Use your judgement, but if you get too close to the lower range, then you could experience inconsistent firing.
