    help with a proto SLG

so my friend just bought an SLG a few weeks ago, and this is his first gun. I posted a thread on AO a while back about it- he got the gun off craigs list. HERE IS THE THREAD:

Well anyways, it worked for a while, I'm supposed to play with my friend on Saturday, and just today he was shooting it and it stopped working. This is what he says about it:

The thing won't fire. The solenoid clicks, but no firing. The light blinks to indicate dirty eyes, but they are clean, plus I pulled and cleaned them. Even when I turn the eyes off it still won't fire.

It started with me firing about 6 rounds, then it just clicked. I hit the bolt back/purge button and it would fire one round, then back to the clicking. Now it just clicks and nothing happens.

Cleaned the eyes, looked for leaks, cleaned and greased the bolt and tried turning up the pressure. Nothing has worked. Hoping it is not the solenoid.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions? I don't know enough about dye/proto guns to give him advice.

mine was doing that when the battery was almost dead, tell him to take it apart clean and relube everything, and put a fresh battery in.

yeah, he's calling Dye tomorrow. I guess he has a thread on PBN somewhere too, but even the people over there are having a problem narrowing it down.

Man if I had some more cash I would totally check out cru this weekend, but I don't have money or the time right now. School is dominating my life at the moment- 2 huge programming projects, one due Monday that I'm going to be spending all weekend on. If I do end up going to cru here soon, what sort of mag do you shoot?
