    hyperframe problems

    I just got a hyper frame and I got it working for a little bit, but it keeps sucking batteries. I put a new one in and it works for a few seconds, but then everytime I pull the trigger it looks like it is sucking all of the juice.

    Also, it will not burst or hyper on burst or hyper mode.

    Lastly, is there any way for me to use my x-valve with this frame?

    You guys are the best, thanks for everything.
    I buy and sell mag parts..

    You can definitely use an X valve with this frame. In fact, since the person you bought this from was probably using an X-valve, you may have to change all your power settings to make it work with your valve. (This is probably why you're having problems, assuming the frame is not faulty in some way.)

    Check your service modes and see what they're set at. (I copy/pasted the directions from the Hyperframe FAQ below.) When I had a hyperframe with a classic valve and ULT, I think my settings were IS-8, Fd-25, and Fn-15.

    --------------------------

    Service Mode:
    With the Hyperframe off, press and hold MODE. While still holding MODE and before it turns on, press and hold MODE SET. Wait. It will turn on in service mode. When you are done making your changes, press and hold MODE to turn it off.

    Service mode settings:
    * IS - 05. Fd - 20. Fn - 50.
    This is the Fire Number (in this case, set at 50). This is the solenoid dwell time (in milli-seconds). The larger the number, the longer the solenoid holds the sear back. (This means more consistent firing, but less BPS.) If you want 20 bps, this needs to be set at 10. If you can live with lower speeds (like 8 bps), leave it at the factory-set 50.

      If the battery is going dead after a few shots i suspect you more problems than just board settings. I would start with looking at the capacitor and the solenoid first .... also check to make sure the board is not shorting out against the frame. Some hyperframes had issue of long soldier leads sticking through the back of the board causing issues.
