    e-tac issues

    ok, here is the situation.

Last time I took it out, it was having issues shooting. I thought it was bolt stick. So I took apart the xvalve. When I seperated the regulator from the powertube, I noticed tiny black piece of material. As I took out the on/off (non ult) I noticed more black pieces of something at the bottom of the hole where the on/off fits into the powertube. So I took it out and it looks like a black o-ring except the shape is not smooth and round. Instead it's sides are concave )( with ribs.

you will notice from the photo that the top of the oring? thingie has what looks like a bite taken out of it. I believe that is what the little pieces of black material is from.

So I noticed the on/off didn't have the usually white oring on the bottom, so I replaced the oring and now it fires full auto. I even tried a different on/off, and a ult one. However it keeps firing full auto now.

Now I even swapped out my xvalve with a ultfrom my regulate tac one and tried it on my etac. When I do that, it works just fine.

Now a couple of notes. When I was on the field I thought maybe it was the main spring, so I swapped it out for a longer one. Which did not solve anthing. Right now I am using the shortest spring (red?) since the long ones did't allow me to fire at all.

Hmm... so I didn't realized that the emag had its own on/off, which uses this weird looking black o-ring thingie. Anyone know where to get more? I don't see it being sold seperately. Also will a regular on/off or ult one work? Since it seems like my other xvalve worked on the etac.

Heehee, guess I figured out I need what is called a quad oring =) Now does anyone have a spare so I don't have to pay 6 bucks for shipping for a $4 dollar 4 pack? Also, can anyone tell me why my other xvalve with a ult on/off worked on my emag if it needs this different oring? very strange...

Thanks, actually just got them from tuna already. So what is the trick to using a ULT on an emag?

There is no trick. You don't want to use it. The On/off resets the sear, and the ULT is unreliable with that.

Why would you want to use a ULT anyway?
